Interview with Anne Frayssinet - Events Director of the Security Division at Comexposium
/SDBR News: On November 18, 2025, the 24th edition of Milipol Paris will open its doors in Villepinte. Are you expecting a large crowd?
Anne Frayssinet: Two years ago, we had slightly more than 30,000 visitors, so this year we're hoping for 32,000 professional visitors over four days. We're expecting 1,200 exhibitors, 68% of whom will be international companies. There will also be international pavilions and, of course, all the French associations: Gicat, GIE Défense, Cluster Eden, etc.
SDBR News: What themes will be highlighted at Milipol 2025 ?
Anne Frayssinet: We're launching a series of conferences on the theme of "Homeland Security and Artificial Intelligence." Over four days, national and international experts will discuss key current and future topics in national safety and homeland security. The program can be viewed at https://www.milipol.com/en/highlights/programme-de-conferences
We are also creating a Forensics space, dedicated to Scientific Police, which will bring together international professionals in the field of forensics: experts from public safety, law enforcement, research and innovation laboratories, intelligence services, and the private sector will meet to exchange ideas and discover the latest technological advances. We will attempt to create a virtual crime scene using augmented reality headsets.
SDBR News: What is the Demo Arena ?
Anne Frayssinet: In Hall 3 at Villepinte, there will be a live demonstration area with a large stand with at least 500 seats: the Demo Arena. This is a space dedicated to dynamic demonstrations by elite units (RAID, GIGN, DOPC/BI, Civil Security, etc.) as well as to expert companies in the sector represented at the show, which will be able to fly mini-drones there, for example.
SDBR News: Tell us about Milipol Qatar…
Anne Frayssinet: Milipol Qatar is almost 20 years old, having started in 1996. The 2024 edition was very successful, and the next edition will be held in Doha from October 20 to 22, 2026. The Qatari Ministry of the Interior is very involved and is providing us with full support for the success of this show. 2026 should see a larger show than 2024.
SDBR News: What are the visitor profiles for Milipol Qatar?
Anne Frayssinet: Overall, it's the same type of visitor base as our other Milipol trade shows, but perhaps a little more government-focused and a little more mixed between the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of the Armed Forces. Otherwise, the show is more focused on the Middle East, with only 25% of visitors from outside the Middle East. Milipol Paris is the major international trade show. For local trade shows, we think in terms of geographic areas of influence.
SDBR News: So Singapore for Southeast Asia ?
Anne Frayssinet: Yes, like Qatar, but for the Asia-Pacific region, with already more than 11,000 visitors for 300 exhibitors at the last edition. Jointly organized by HTX (Home Team Science & Technology - the Innovation Agency of the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs https://www.htx.gov.sg ), GIE Milipol, and Comexposium, under the auspices of the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs and the French Ministry of the Interior, the next edition will be held in Singapore from April 28 to 30, 2026. Given the region's unique characteristics, we launched Milipol India in October 2023, for the world's 7th largest country with a population of 1.4 billion.
SDBR News: How big is Milipol India ?
Anne Frayssinet: It's still a small show for now, but the second edition was held in April 2025 in Delhi, with 4,000 visitors and 120 exhibitors across 3,000 m². In Delhi, we have a local partner: Interads (https://interads.in). The Indian police are in need of modernization and technology, particularly drones to monitor their 17,000 kilometers of borders. The next edition will be held in April 2027.
SDBR News: You launched the Milipol Network brand. What is your goal?
Anne Frayssinet: For over 40 years, the Milipol brand has been synonymous with leading events dedicated to homeland security and safety. Created in 1984, the Network now spans four continents with Milipol Paris, Milipol Qatar, Milipol TechX (MTX) in Singapore, and Milipol India. Together, these exhibitions have become the leading international platforms where governments, law enforcement, and industry players come together to exchange knowledge, showcase technologies, and build partnerships in the field of homeland security.
So we look forward to seeing you from November 18 to 21, 2025 at Milipol Paris:
