EURONAVAL will be held from 20th to 23rd October 2020 in Paris-le Bourget

EURONAVAL, the international exhibition for the naval defence and maritime security industry will be held from 20th to 23rd October 2020 in Paris-le Bourget. Organised every even-numbered year, it has been the world's leading meeting place for innovation and naval technologies of the future for more than 50 years. As a privileged meeting place for industrialists from all over the world and decision-makers from military and state navies, EURONAVAL is the leading trade exhibition where the entire ecosystem gets together.

With web-conferences, workshops and BtoB meetings, a space dedicated to start-ups, a new “Cyber Naval Hub” exhibition pavilion, Naval-Online, EURONAVAL reveals the main features of its 27th edition

Three web conferences for the opening and themed workshops throughout the exhibition

A series of three web conferences will replace the international conference initially planned at the Maison de la Chimie. Organised in partnership with the Foundation for Strategic Research (FRS), these web conferences will take place over three online sessions in the form of thematic round tables.

  •  Tuesday 29th September 2020 at 11am: China / USA / Japan: power relations in Asia-Pacific

  • Tuesday 6th October 2020 at 11am: The submarine export market and innovative strategic partnerships

  • Tuesday 13th October 2020 at 11am: Technological innovations and capacity shortfalls

The three web conferences will be available in replay on the exhibition website from Monday 19th October, the day before the exhibition opens.

Themed workshops and personalised welcome throughout the exhibition

During the four days of the exhibition, thematic workshops bringing together institutions and official delegations as well as French and international businesses will set the tempo for the EURONAVAL exhibition. These workshops will address the main issues at stake in naval defence, covering a broad spectrum ranging from the future of submarines to security and environmental protection, the future of European industry, naval research and special operations and electronic warfare.

Because EURONAVAL is the leading exhibition and privileged meeting place for industrialists and decision makers for navies from all over the world, we are making it a point of honour to facilitate BtoB meetings at the exhibition. In line with this, special meeting areas have been designed, offering a confidential and comfortable space to promote relations between the different sectors. A personalised support service has also been set up by the exhibition to facilitate contacts between visitors and exhibitors.

Destination innovation with the SEAnnovation space

The SEAnnovation space dedicated to start-ups was launched at EURONAVAL 2018 in partnership with Starburst and the GICAN. Given the success of this initiative, SEAnnovation is being renewed for this new edition. This space is designed to welcome thirty or so start-up companies from France and abroad in a dedicated area, with round tables, keynotes and pitches over 4 days. All start-ups involved in defence or dual civil-defence technological innovations are invited to exhibit in the SEAnnovation space. In response to the call for applications, more than 60 start-ups have applied, demonstrating the enthusiasm for this project. For those that have been selected, this will be an exceptional opportunity to gain visibility and present their projects to contractors in the global naval industry.

An exhibition pavilion dedicated to cybersecurity: the Cyber naval Hub

Cybersecurity has become a major challenge for the entire defence sector. In a digital and interconnected world, the cyber threat is increasing across the entire civil and military maritime sector.

The EURONAVAL organisers, in partnership with CEIS, specialising in Cyber Defence consulting, have therefore decided to create a new space: the Cyber Naval Hub. Cyber-industry leaders and public administrations will be able to showcase their innovations in this exhibition pavilion, exchange best practices and imagine solutions of the future for improving digital trust.

Naval-Online, the digital complement to the exhibition

The evolution of the health situation in the world suggests that a certain number of countries will probably not be able to send delegations and industrialists to visit the exhibition this year. Naval-Online has been created for them.

It will be the digital complement to the EURONAVAL exhibition. For exhibitors, it will be an exceptional opportunity to extend the visibility of their offer and products. Each exhibitor will be able to invite visitors, clients and partners who are faraway and unable to attend.

J2C-Communication will contact all exhibitors to accompany them on Naval-Online and offer them ways to customise their digital stand.
